Sangita: - Hello viewers! You are watching Kolkata TV. Today, the breaking news is that in an apartment of Rajarhat area, around Rs. 20 lacs has been robbed by the servant of that house. The owner of that apartment is Malati Devi. Again, the biggest question arises that how much safe is Kolkata? Why the government of Buddhadev Bhattacharjee is failing to provide any kind of security to the citizens of Kolkata?
**************
Inspector Sujoy: - Really, now our job is at stake. We have received a message from the CM of West Bengal, that we should keep strict vigilance on Saltlake city and its outskirts. There are lots of discussions going on by the media people.
Inspector Roy: - Yes, I think that we should act on this issue as early as possible. Malati Devi has already lodged an FIR against her house servant. But, we are yet to get any information about him.
Inspector Sujoy: - Maybe, in this case, we should seek some help from the Private Intelligence Department wing of CBI. They can provide us some good suggestions about this case. We can have a secret video-conference with Arindam in this regard.
*************
Arindam: - Hmm…I have studied all the cases. I am not questioning on the ability and the agility of Kolkata Policemen. But, somehow, you people are not using the updated technologies to track the culprits.
Inspector Sujoy: - What are you saying? After the kidnapping case of an IT employee in Sector V, we have installed CCTVs. We have also made it mandatory that the passengers and the cab drivers should provide their photos in the taxi stands.
Arindam: - That is not enough, boss. There are so many loopholes. First of all, there are many policemen who are not properly trained on how to utilize these electronics to track the criminals. You know, somehow, I can personally feel that the security provided in cities like Hyderabad, Mumbai and Chennai are far better than Kolkata and Delhi. In those cities, in every area, policemen patrol with their jeep and act very quickly whenever there is a crime. Every policeman of those cities has a new and modern revolver. In Kolkata city, policemen still use those old-fashioned and out-dated rifles, which are full of rust and does not function at all.
Inspector Roy:- Ya, we are planning to send some of our efficient policemen to Hi-tech city of Hyderabad, where they will take some training on how to track and gun down the criminals, before they can act. Even, we are chalking out a strategy to form a special task force like the ‘Octopus’ team, which was initiated by YSR of Hyderabad.
Arindam: - First of all, make it a rule in and around Kolkata that a person should keep a servant in their house, after getting permission from the Police Department. All the ID-proof and address proof of that servant should be submitted in the nearest local police station. Check out whether those servants have any past criminal record or not. After verification of all the details only, give the green signal. If anything goes wrong, we can easily track those culprits.
Inspector Sujoy: - The problem is that people are scared about us. They don’t try to co-operate with us. Take the case of Malati Devi only. Had she submitted all the ID-proofs of her house servants, it would have been easy for us to track him. Now, where will we find him in the remote villages of Bihar? The Biharis and the Bengalis of North 24-parganas and Howrah are mostly engaged in these kinds of robberies and other related anti-social rackets.
Arindam: - No matter, whether he is a Bihari, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil or a Bengali; a criminal is a criminal. That is his first and last identity and the job of police is to arrest them at any cost. Start the operation of “SERVEILLENCE OF SERVANTS (SOS)” in Kolkata. Automatically, these types of criminal acts will get reduced.
